Nathan T. Jackson is an associate in Basham Law Group’s Sacramento/Central Valley office, where he exclusively practices employment law and related litigation. Nathan has substantial expertise in the areas of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, wage and hour laws, and the employment of individuals with disabilities, protected leaves of absence, and reasonable accommodations. Nathan also provides advice and counsel to employers concerning their workplace policies, practices, and personnel decisions.
Nathan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California at Davis in 2007, where he received Dean’s Honors and a departmental citation for academic excellence. In 2012, he received his Juris Doctor from the UCLA School of Law. At UCLA Nathan served as the Senior Articles Editor for the UCLA Journal of Law and Technology, participated in a clinical trial advocacy program where he represented parties in administrative proceedings before the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and California Labor Commission, and received the “Excellence in Preparation for Trial Practice” award from the American Board of Trial Advocates. Also during law school Nathan clerked for a national trial firm based in Los Angeles.

Nathan is a member of the State Bar of California.
Prior to joining Basham Law Group, Nathan was an associate at a large Stockton-based law firm, where he advised public and private clients on employment and labor issues, business and estate planning, land use, and assisted special purpose districts with compliance issues related to public contracting, Proposition 218, conflicts of interest, and the Brown Act. Nathan has represented clients in proceedings before the State Labor Commission, Boards of Supervisors, LAFCOs, and other administrative bodies. From 2007 to 2009, Nathan worked as a research manager for the Sacramento branch of Forward Observer, Inc., a political research and strategy firm known nationally for helping clients solve complex political and business challenges. Prior to his employment with Forward Observer, Nathan interned in the Communications Department of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
